Recently I have been working on new habits. I have been working to identify the thoughts and actions that have been keeping me from succeeding in my journey to invest all the time. One big theme has constantly come up from work to home; from my management of my time and my finances. My life has been riddled with disorganization, and chaos. From spending too much, to failing to be effective at work because everything is done inconsistently, life has become a proverbial nightmare of falling more and more behind. its time we look at getting organized today.
Getting Organized Today
How do you cure something that has become second nature? How do you take action on such a massive amount of chaos? I have found you conquer the chaos the same way you would eat an elephant; one bite at a time. You have to reverse your nature, break the cycle and reverse course. This week I started to reverse course, and it’s been great. I started my course reversal with my day job, and in 3 days I have already seen results. I began with my desk, and shifted to my email, and have pushed myself to stay late, and get my process in place. This weekend it’s the house, and my personal email/ and finances.
Looking ahead..
This whole reversal will take me about a month because that’s roughly the length of time it takes to build a habit. It will all be worth it 30 days from now. I can’t wait to see how I feel. We have to be organized in order to succeed in our daily investments, and I don’t see that being possible with where I am at currently. I am eager to share this with you all on the Free Market NightCap, and create some repeatable processes. This getting organized is going to put things more in focus, allow me to prioritize better, save more, invest more, and make this whole website, and podcast better in so many ways.
